The Gubal shown here has only been built by PANArt in isolated cases since 2019.
The PANArt tuners have continued to work on the lenticular shape in the past years and have created the Hang Balu, an instrument that is already actively played by several groups.
The Hang Balu returns to the lenticular form of the "classical" sound sculpture Hang, with its cathedral effect coming very close to its sound world, but with its pulse character it represents an important further development to collective playing.
About the Gubal
The Hang® Gubal allows the player to reinforce his own inner music. Opening up the potential of its musical possibilities (percussion, bass and harmony) requires musical talent, as exploration of new musical territory is what this instrument is all about. When joined by other instruments, it is important to ensure that they do not drown out the Gubal.
